The Arena and the roman theatre are two splendid examples of roman architecture. Both are renowned for their world famous events (VeronaJazz and opera season)
Numerous churches built throughout all centuries are the witnesses of the past of the city. (especially San Zeno is considered a pearl of roman architecture).
A must see are the museums of Verona, such as Castelvecchio with an important restoration by Scarpa, Palazzo Forti (contemporary art) and the Museum of natural history. As well as the Napoleonic museum and Museo dei Cimbri.
From Verona you can easily reach many charming towns and cities of art such as: Mantova, Vicenza, Venice, Padova, Sirmione, Borghetto, Sabbioneta, Asolo.
In the area there are numerous venetian villas, similar to Villa del Quar.
