Beautiful new construction in 2010 in iron and glass, air conditioning, enhanced by tropical plants and flowers, located between the Hall and the garden overlooking the surrounding hills, rich cherry trees, vineyards and cypresses.
The maximum capacity is 130 people and is particularly suitable for events and weddings. In summer the doors sliding open and the garden becomes a continuation of the garden. The enormous windows provide optically enjoy this continuity even when the sliding parts are closed.
The glass cover You can admire the sky both with lovely weather and rain. Bright and with very good acoustic, this is one of the few restaurant where its charme is encreased when the rain falls

EAST SIDE

This part of the Villa consists of a plenty rooms and has its own private spaces and independent access through the path of the garden .

The Est side is reachable also from Hotel lobby and it is closed to the main park, the gazebo and the outdoor pool.

11 are the rooms at your disposal ( Doubles, Superior and Suites) and three of them located on the ground floor have also their private terrace

The Tea room belongs to the East side and will be reserved in exclusive use, it is a 70 sqm large, in a quite and apart position and has its paved outdoor area facing the garden and the pool . The tea room is very bright surrounded by large windows and can welcome up to 25/30 persons.

This part of the Villa has been reserved for exclusive use by the famous Italian singer Vasco Rossi and also by a Princess of Emirates for 10 days.

THE WEST SIDE

The West side of the Villa consists of 5 Junior Suites/Suites all provided with true antique interior decor and furniture and two of them with private Garden, and a large room named“Medieval" Lounge”.

This lounge of 150sqm consists of two living room and Dinner and Lunch up to 50 persons can be organized, it is really a wonderful lounge full of atmosphere with a wall dated back to the XI century that was part of the old Scaliger castle.

The Medieval Lounge Runs parallel to the Via Claudia Augusta built by the Emperor Claudius around 50

The roof is wooden beams, large tufa pillars supporting the large windows overlooking the garden of the villa. From here we can reach the old wine cellar where wine tastings are organized. They are all spaces with a charming ambiance.

The higher levels are reachable through an ancient staircase and an elevator, which in the case of the Suite n°29 becomes private and accessible only with a special electronic card.

The access to the west side of the Villa is through the lobby of the Hotel or from a private gate of the Villa

Your cars will have a dedicated parking place . The rooms are located on the ground, first and second floor entering in the Medieval Lounge where also Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner and Open bar can be provided

All the west side is provided with Internet and Wi-Fi free of charge.

Valentine’s day is now celebrated all around the world, as the lovers day, as an occasion in which the couples celebrate their love.

The city which par excellence is the ideal location to celebrate love- as here takes place the literature most beautiful love story - is Verona, that each year organizes a celebration dedicated to beloved, which is called Verona in Love.

The city of Romeo and Juliet indeed organizes some unique events, which in the 2013 edition will take place from the 14th to the 17th of February in Piazza Bra, Piazza dei Signori and in Cortile Mercato Vecchio. Among the events scheduled for this year there will be the “Heart to discover": beautiful stalls in Piazza dei Signori, which will propose characteristic handicrafts and the culinary excellence of Verona, but also tastings, live concerts and the award of the most beautiful love letters.

Among the events organized by the city of Verona even “The message of the Heart”, that allows couples to post love messages in Verona in Love dashboard; the most beautiful messages will be rewarded with surprises for two. One of the most awaited events is the “Seal of Love” which consists in the possibility for lovers to book online their names written in Gothic style on a vellum paper, bound and held together by wax; “Kisses” is a magic moment on the 14th of February where all couples will express their love for each other in a one-minute kiss.

The 17th of February at 10:00 am there will be the sixth edition of Romeo & Juliet Halfmarathon, one of the most famous sport events in Italy which brings in Verona each year an increasing number of athletes and sport lovers, which will run 21.09 km, along the most beautiful streets of the city that is UNESCO Human Heritage site.

On the occasion of Verona in Love there will take place also the awards ceremony for the Poetry contest 2013 "The caress of a verse", organized by the Fidas division of Verona city Centre with the cooperation of the Culture and Tourism Councillorship of the city of Verona.

Hotel Villa del Quar among the 10 best hotels in Italy according to Gambero Rosso Guide 2013.

The quality and hospitality of the Hotel Villa del Quar have been officially recognized by an institution such as Gambero Rosso: the Hotel has gained the three gold keys of hospitality, which reckon the Hotel owned by Montresor family in the list of the ten best hotels in Italy.

The award arrives after many years of commitment and meticulous research of the perfect hospitality formula, which has been found recently and which has been celebrated by Gambero Rosso THREE GOLD KEYS award. Hotel Villa del Quar is the only structure in Veneto region which has achieved this award in 2013, but also in the past it has been included a lot of times in the Guide, as winner of the three gold keys award and of the three forks award.

Some days ago Villa del Quar has obtained again also the Quality Certification from Residenze d’Epoca, which attests then the quality of the hotel, according to different features, among which the quality of the preservative restoration, the presence of important historical, artistic and cultural elements, the welcome service and the personalization of services.

The structure is owned by Montresor family, which made the restoration (1990-1992) and which manages both the Hotel and Arquade Restaurant, which since 1996 are part of the prestigious chain Relais & Chateaux.

Another award is contained in Gambero Rosso 2013 Guide for Italian Restaurants, which reviews Arquade Restaurant and commends both the charm and the attention for details of the rooms, and the culinary specialities and the wine cellars stocked with the best national wines and the ones “della casa” that are produced in the vineyards surrounding the villa.

Among the novelties of Arquade Restaurant that are mentioned in Gambero Rosso Guide, there is also the new chef, Gennaro Vitto, which thanks to his southern origins, adds a Mediterranean taste to the dishes of Veneto tradition, that the guide describes as “stimulating dishes, based on first-rate ingredients, which are complex, but also well- prepared and with simple, equilibrated and strong tastes”.

A sophisticated and delicious kitchen is then the surplus value, added to the hospitality of Hotel Villa del Quar, which altogether makes it the ideal location for a relax holiday, in a discrete and refined atmosphere, with a gorgeous kitchen.

From the 18th to the 22nd of October 2012 VeronaFiere hosts the eighth edition of the prominent event in Verona artistic scenario: ArtVerona, the Fair of Italian modern and contemporary Art Galleries.

The third week of October begins indeed the five-days art fair which since its first edition in 2005, has aroused increasing interests, reaching in the previous edition 20.000 visitors; this event year after year has grown in new ideas, peculiarities and awards, which contributed to make the appointment with ArtVerona, one of the main art events in Italy, that hosts Italian most important art galleries.

The fair was born in 2005 and was conceived by Danilo Vignati, President of Fullstream srl- society specialized in the organization of art events- and by Massimo Simonetti, famous gallery owner as well as design and industrial drawing expert; the surveys made every year by research companies have demonstrated that ArtVerona has gradually aroused interests both form the visitors and from the exhibitors.

Among the novelties for ArtVerona 2012 edition, ArtVerona Young is certainly the most original one. It is an area created to involve children in the art and in particular in the contemporaneous art universe, through a child-friendly show floor, created by Emma Gravagnuolo and Roberta Lietti, authors and co-curator of the artistic project Artforkids, which for the first time brings such a project inside a fair. Saturday 20^th and Sunday 21^st October indeed from 11.00am till 5.00pm, ArtVerona will dedicate laboratories and thematic areas to the introduction of children from 4 to 14 years-old in the art world.

For this particular and cutting edge project, ArtVerona choose to collaborate with Aster, company that has been dealing for years with the planning and management of didactic services for other expositions, among which even Brera Picture Gallery, Milan Archeological City Museum and Verona City Museums; for ArtVerona Young Gravagnuolo e Lietti, have chosen some works of art by famous Italian artists, because of their properties to stimulate children imagination.

September 24 2012 Leonard Cohen in Arena

On September 24th 2012, the poet singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen will perform at the Arena in the only Italian date of his "Old Ideas World Tour 2012". The artist will present his historical songs and his new album "Old Ideas", an album that has won many awards and has reached the top of the charts around the world.

Influenced by literature and poets such as WB Yeats, Walt Whitman and Irving Layton, Cohen made his debut in the musical world in the 60s and since then he has shown his great talent with albums such as “Songs of Leonard Cohen” (1967), "The Future” (1993), “Ten New Songs” (2001), now considered classics. His lyrics have won him fans and musicians have paid tribute with about 1,330 covers of his original songs, just think of the beautiful "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley.

Cohen's concert in Verona is a unique opportunity to appreciate, and for those not familiar discover a unique talent which, with its Old Ideas, first solo album in nearly eight years, reconfirmed his greatness.

September 2002- September 2012, a decade of soundtrack music and not only. In September begins the Tour TEN 2002-2012, which celebrates ten years of Ennio Morricone’s concerts.

The 28th of September 2002 indeed, from the extraordinary stage of the Arena of Verona, begun a new chapter of Ennio Morricone’s career; since then he has performed in the most famous stages and squares of the world, amazing the audience with excellent and exciting live performances, with music taken by the famous films he collaborated with.

The Arena of Verona is a memorable step for the Maestro, who considers it with affection not only because it was the first the place for his first concert, but also because it was the bigger place in which he had ever performed live. Since then many other big cities have hosted the great Maestro, who in the last ten years has done more than 200 concerts; Royal Albert Hall in London, the Theatre in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, San Marco Square in Venice, alla Scala Theatre in Milan, Japan, Spain, Australia, Moscow, Mexico, Chile, are just some of the places in which he performed.

For the tenth anniversary from the begin of Morricone’s concerts he could choose anything but the same location and the same month, to start with the new Italian Tour “TEN 2002/2012”: the 15 of September at 9 p.m. from Verona will begin the tour in which will play Sinfonietta Rome Orchestra- that is considered as the orchestra that best plays Morricone’s music, both for the long live experience with Maestro and for the recording studio one- and the extraordinary RAI Symphonic Orchestra. The chorus will be Verona Lyric Symphonic Chorus, Roman Lyric Symphonic Chorus and Claudio Casini Chorus from Tor Vergata Univeristy of Rome.

The tour will be opened by an exclusive preview the 8th of September at 9 p.m. in I°May Square in Udine.

At the beginning of archeology: in the 18th century between digging and collecting

Even in summertime the city of Verona offers many cultural appointments for tourists or the local people who are interested in the history of the city; during the whole summer indeed it will be possible to admire a particularly interesting exposition characterized by the wide range of pieces it collects: it is Jacopo Muselli’s archeological collection, at the Archeological Museum of Verona Roman Theatre until the 30th of September 2012.

Member of a noble family from Verona, Jacopo Muselli was a man of vast knowledge who dedicated his life to the research on the scientific and humanistic field, deepening the studies in ancient numismatics and archeology; he came into possession of part of the collections by some of Verona’s most important experts as Francesco Bianchini and Scipione Maffei and was, in turn, protagonist of some great discoveries in the archeological field, when digging in Raldon, near San Giovanni Lupatoto, he found a cremation necropolis with graves which date at a period from the I to the III century AD ; inside them were found really well-conserved grave goods, among which even some glass unguentariums , fibulas and an amphora used as a funeral case.

In 1867 Cesare Bernasconi, curator of the Civic Museum, convinced Verona local administration to buy Muselli’s entire collection, affirming that “The majority of these relics are worthy of the most illustrious Museums in Italy”; generally the collection is partially exposed in the Archeological Museum, while until the 30th of September it will be entirely viewable on the occasion of the exposition “At the beginning of archeology: in the 18th century between digging and collecting”.

Muselli collection, beyond being an extremely important cultural heritage, is a key to the reading of the phenomenon of the’700 antique collecting – a real fashionable activity for the nobles of that time- which set the basis for the birth of modern archeology and for many important collections that were later on included in the rising museums.
